First and foremost, you need to be very SPECIFIC and answer the 4 Ws:
- What – what do you want to offer to your consumers? what products/services?
- Who – who are your target consumers? males? females? students? grandmas? children?
- Where – where is your target marketplace? local or within the state or extended worldwide?
- hoW – how can you achieve your goals? do you have enough resources?
From your answers, you can set your business goals. If you have decided to start with a small local business, do not buy a web domain and empty your pockets right away. You can use social networking sites that provide free services. Take one step at a time and always write a list of the risks you are going to make. Decide if they will be worth it, win or lose.
